Less than it seems. We explain everything to you step by step and handle the handover ourselves: we talk to your current accountant, ask them for the accounting records, check the opening balances and confirm which returns have been filed. We agree who files what during the transition, so no deadline is forgotten. There is nothing for you to worry about.
Get the month's documents to us: purchase and expense invoices, bank statements and anything that changed in payroll. You can scan, photograph or forward them by email, from wherever you are. We agree a fixed date with you and tell you when something is missing, instead of you finding out at the end of the year.
As often as we agree, usually monthly or quarterly, depending on the size of the company. It is not a trial balance emailed without a word of explanation: it is a reading of the period, with sales, costs, margin, cash flow and the taxes you will have to pay in the coming months, explained in a meeting, in English.
A Certified Accountant on our team, registered with the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants (OCC), who answers for the technical accuracy of your accounts. We tell you from the start who she is and who you talk to day to day.
Not necessarily. Whenever possible we work with the software you already use, provided it is certified by the Portuguese Tax Authority, a condition that software brought from another country does not always meet. We only suggest changing when the program is giving you extra work or does not talk to the accounts, and we explain what you gain from the switch before you decide.
Yes. Monthly processing, absences, holidays and allowances, personal income tax (IRS) withholding, Social Security contributions, the DMR and the Relatório Único. You tell us what changed in the month (someone joining, someone leaving, sick leave) and you get the payslips and the amounts to pay.
In a cloud archive with controlled access, where you can view and download them whenever you like. The documents belong to your company: if you change accountant one day, they go with you.
It depends on the work the company generates: volume of documents, number of employees, VAT regime and activity. That is why we do not publish a price list. You describe your situation, we do the sums and you get a written proposal, stating what is included.
We look at it and tell you what stands out, in plain English. No obligation and no cost.
