A close relationship
and accounts explained
clearly

Um Vez Dois grew out of a simple conviction: business owners deserve more than reports that arrive late and explanations they can't follow. Founded in 2023 by Marisa Santos and Carla Gaspar, within the SMARTIDIOM Group, it has offices in Leiria and Pombal and works remotely with clients all over the country.

Um vez dois: the simplest sum we do

Our name is a multiplication: in Portuguese, “um vez dois” means one times two. This is how we read it.

“Um” (one) is you

Whoever runs a company nearly always decides alone. One business owner, one company, one decision at a time.

“Vez” (times) is our work

We don't add paper to your day. We multiply what you can see in your numbers. That is the sign we carry in our logo.

“Dois” (two) is us, at your side

Two founders, two offices and, in every decision, two heads instead of one: yours and ours.

You decide with someone beside you

That is the result of the sum. The rest is detail, and we take care of that.

Two people, the same restlessness

An accountant who saw information reaching clients too late. A business owner who knew what it is to decide without information. Um Vez Dois is what came of the two joining forces around the same purpose.

What we decided to be

Three ideas that guide what we take on and what we turn down

01

Vision

That a small company should have access to the same rigour and the same quality of information as a large one. That is why we work digitally and remotely: the quality of the support can't depend on the company being in a district capital.

02

Mission

Turning numbers into decisions. We combine accounting rigour with digital tools so that you get the information in time, understand it and can use it. Because accounts that nobody explains, or that arrive too late, are no use to the person running the business.

03

Values

Clarity, anticipation, rigour, closeness and responsibility. There are five of them and they are further down, each with what it means in practice.

What we do differently

None of this is extraordinary. It's just what should be normal and rarely is.

How it usually goesWith us
01 · With us

We explain before we deliver

Your numbers arrive with a reading: what changed, why, and what it means for the decisions ahead of you. If you didn't understand, the failing is ours.

02 · With us

We talk before the decision

The tax and financial effect of hiring, investing or restructuring is worked out before you sign the document. After that, all that's left is to record it.

03 · With us

We work remotely, on purpose

The files are in the cloud, meetings happen by video call or at the Leiria and Pombal offices, and the team is spread across several regions. For you, it means distance stops being a criterion for choosing your accountant.

04 · With us

We serve companies and accounting firms

As well as companies, we work for other accounting firms, as extra capacity at peak times and during absences. Anyone chosen by fellow professionals has to have their work in order.

Five values that show in the work

They aren't words for a poster. Each one translates into something we do, and that you can hold us to.

If you didn't understand, the failing is ours

First the conversation, then the signature

The effect of hiring, investing or restructuring is worked out before you sign the document; after that, all that's left is to record it.

Mistakes get caught in-house

Every year we study what changes in the law and we review each other's work, so that the mistake is caught by us and not in your tax return.

Receipt · value no. 4 of 5Closeness

Remote, but never distant

You talk to someone who knows your company, by name, without going through a front desk.

Receipt · value no. 5 of 5Responsibility

Every decision touches people

We look at the company's results and also at the effect of its decisions on those who depend on it: the people who work there, the people who supply it, the people who buy from it.

Management

Two founders, two halves of the same job. Marisa looks after the numbers, tax and accounting. Carla looks after leadership, culture and business strategy.
